christmas cantata:

december 15

On Sunday, December 15, the First Presbyterian Chancel Choir, accompanied by a chamber orchestra, will present “Night of the Father’s Love”, by Pepper Choplin. This contemporary musical work captures all of the mystery, the awe, and the palpable excitement of that night, imaginatively and genuinely displayed in a Christmas mosaic of words and music. This beautiful work sensitively guides the listener through the Christmas story, as though hearing it again for the first time. Timeless scripture passages, combined with an intriguing array of musical styles beautifully express the essence of Christmas: the gift of the Father's love. Don’t miss this wonderful expression of faith.
