Serving at FPC

First Presbyterian Church believes we are called to grow in our commitment to justice, compassion and love.

Jesus came to serve, not to be served. (Matthew 20:28) In the same way, we will look outward, not always expecting our needs to be met, but to learn more about the needs of others and to offer help and hope to the world. It is our conviction that neither the Church as the body of Christ, nor Christians as individuals, can turn a blind eye to the needs of others in the world.

FPC believes so strongly in mission that 15% of its annual income is committed to benevolent giving. These funds and all involvement in mission work are overseen by our Social Justice and Mission Committee. FPC is involved in on-going mission at the local, national and international levels and encourages you to join in our efforts near and far. Contact the church office to put you in touch with our Social Justice & Mission Committee, to learn more or to volunteer.

Discipleship

As Jesus left this world, his parting words were: "Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you." We challenge you to be willing to serve and make disciples with us.
