The Rev. Dr. T. Ewen Holmes
TRansitional Lead Pastor
Ewen and Ailbhe (his canine companion and co-worker) joined FPC in mid-January 2021. He has been in active ministry longer than he can imagine, serving congregations and mid-level governing bodies throughout the United States. Over these past 5 years, Ewen has been doing transitional ministry in Michigan, Northern Kentucky and Texas. His permanent home is in Petoskey, Michigan where his wife, Holly, resides. Holly and Ewen have three grown children, who all happen to reside in the same state – Michigan.

Rev. Keith Phillips
Associate Pastor for Mission, Youth, Adult Ed and Community Building
Keith Phillips joined FPC in January 2018 after completing his studies at Columbia Theological Seminary in Georgia. The Virginia native is the former communications director of a minor league ice hockey team, and enjoys music, hiking, and cheering on the Orioles, Capitals, and Royals.

Melanie Dennis

Melanie Dennis has been employed with FPC since 2009. "I am grateful to be able to serve the church over the time I have been here, and look forward to many more years to come." A little background: Melanie is a Veteran, who served a total of 13 years in the Navy. Outside of work, Melanie is working towards completion of a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration. In addition to work and school, she enjoys spending time with her family, loves the outdoors and staying active. "I look forward to hearing from you!"

Brittany is thrilled to be a part of the team and mission here at FPC. Brittany brings many years of experience as well as a passion for the community. She serves as Chairman of the Salina Arts and Humanities Commission, on the Board of Directors for the Friends of the Smoky Hill Museum and on the Gala Auction Committee for the Love, Chloe Foundation. In her free time she enjoys adventures with her husband Thaine and two boys, Brayden and Beckham. Her hobbies include music, reading, crafting, hiking, and traveling.

Haley Grabast
Youth Ministry Director circleemail
Say hello to Haley Grabast, our new Youth Ministry Director! Haley loves chocolate and spending time outside with her husband, Brandon. Together they share three cats that mean the absolute world to her. During the day, Haley is a case manager in a therapeutic preschool classroom at the Central Kansas Mental Health Center. She is the “link” between home and school support for 3-5 year old's. As a new team member at First Presbyterian Church of Salina, Haley is looking forward to supporting our youth in their journey through faith as well as continuing her own walk through a path of faith and growth.

My name is Shelby Dickson and I love FPC! The children and youth are the heart of the church and I love every moment of my time with them! I started with FPC in 2014; the other hours of my weeks are spent working as a school counselor. In my spare time I enjoy time with my husband, Jacob, dog, Cooper, and being with my family!

Britton is a life-long Presbyterian, a mother, and a pediatric neurologist, with a special interest in helping the children of the church foster a relationship with God and with one another.

Nursery Coordinator
My name is Becca Karber and I was born and raised in Salina. I have an Associates Degree in Early Childhood Education and work as a Para-Educator at Bennington Grade School. I am currently working towards a Bachelors Degree in Elementary Education from Fort Hays State. In my spare time I enjoy staying active, reading, traveling, and spending time with friends and family.

Briana Dundon
Nursery Caregiver
My name is Briana and I'm 32 years old. I have been married for two years and have a stepson who is 13 years old. My husband and I also recently adopted a puppy and are working on being licensed foster parents. I work for the local youth program "Xcel" and am working on getting my Master's Degree in Youth Development. I'm excited to get some more experience with the younger kiddos and meet more people within the community!

I have been a church organist for 42 years, 10 of which I have been fortunate enough to enjoy at First Presbyterian Church. My life revolves around making music in worship, cooking, gardening, and especially enjoying my family which includes 2 little fur babies, Clara and Rosie.

Music director
I listen to (and love) many different styles and genres of music. However, when I need my faith affirmed, I seek out the Gloria from Bach's Mass in B minor. The man's faith was simply uncompromising.

Lead custodian & MAINTENANCE technician
Hello Everyone, I am the new custodial/maintenance tech here at First Presbyterian Church. I am pleased to be a part of the FPC family. I was born and raised in the Salina area. I live in New Cambria with my wife of 32 years, Melissa and our two dogs Sayble and Peaches. We have one son, two daughters, eight granddaughters and one grandson. I enjoy all things outdoors, camping, fishing, hunting, hiking, gardening and working around our son’s hobby farm. I love spending time with family and teaching and playing with the grandchildren. My favorite time of the day is quiet early mornings before the sun rises enjoying a cup of coffee.

I am the Relief Custodian at First Presbyterian Church Salina. I have been employed with FPC since the summer of 2010. I have been a Salina resident all of my life. I enjoy working here and hope to for a long time to come!
