We are a congregation of the Presbyterian Church (USA), a denomination with a rich history. We believe God calls us to embody our faith, which means we think, question, grow, and serve God and our community as we follow Jesus Christ. One of the strengths of the Presbyterian Church (USA) is that we encourage everyone to study and explore their faith, for we believe God speaks to all people. So, when you come to worship or watch online, we invite you to listen, question, and wrestle with ideas to work out your beliefs together in community.
We are part of a connectional church, which means we believe God calls us into community, not just our congregation, but a community of churches as well. Salina First Presbyterian Church is a member of the Presbytery of Northern Kansas, which comprises 52 congregations in the north western part of Kansas. In addition to God’s Word to us in the Bible, we have a Book of Order that guides our communal life, and a Book of Confessions which contains statements of faith written by various Christian communities over the last 2000 years that guide us as we consider who we are in relationship with God through Jesus and together as the Body of Christ.

Quid, si non sensus modo ei sit datus, verum etiam animus hominis? Nec vero sum nescius esse utilitatem in historia, non modo voluptatem. Duo Reges: constructio interrete. Tum ille timide vel potius verecunde: Facio, inquit.
